Win a dynamic cookbook duo!

Welcome back to Being A Super Mom!  If you like what you’ve read, click here to subscribe to my FREE newsletter!

This month I’m giving a way two hardcover, spiral bound (where the spiral is covered) cookbooks dedicated to using what’s being harvested at the moment:

Simply in Season and Simply in Season Children’s Cookbook.

Tis the season!!  The season to wonder what you’re going to do differently with that fresh produce this year–right?

I’m totally taking it off your hands.  No, seriously… Here’s what I love about these cookbooks… First and foremost–tell me what you see in this picture:

See up there at the top?  You see it, right?

Yup… PURSLANE!  Do you know what to do with purslane?  Or ramps for that matter?  No joke–this book has a way to use an awful lot of what you find yourself either passing up at the farmer’s market or throwing out of your CSA box.  NO MORE!!!

Here’s what else I like:

Each season gets a color and recipe pages are coded by that color.  Okay, maybe I’m just the OCD-ish person reading this blog, but I really love the organization factor here.

And the children’s version goes well beyond cookbook.  As if awesome, vibrantly colored recipes weren’t enough (with LOTS of pictures), the children’s cookbook actually engages your children in the growing and harvesting of the food with practical tips on when berries and other things are ready to be picked and information on how to grow an herb garden with some spots in the back for tracking anything they grow.

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is comment on the blog post I point you to about how to make the most of a CSA share, and then you have a chance to earn more entries.  The contest is only open to U.S. residents and will run until May 31, 2013.  Good luck!
