During the Food As Medicine training conference in June 2013, I was able to hear Dr. Jay Lombard speak about food and it’s affects on psychiatric and mental health issues. It required more understanding of biochemistry than most people have, but I was able to find this wonderful video that was relatively short and a really wonderful primer on EXACTLY how the food you eat affects your brain. My own family has experienced much of what this clinical nutritionist and author speaks of.
