To “cleanse” or not to “cleanse”

Actually, this is a question I get a lot so I thought I'd do some brain dumping on the matter.  Oh wait… do you know what a cleanse is?  In a nutshell, it's a dietary regimen that is supposed to rid your body of toxins and bad stuff. Is cleansing safe? This is a huge "maybe".  You will find PUH-LEN-TY of people who will swear 42 ways to Sunday that they've done it a million times and it's totally safe.  Great.  They are not you.  You will not know if the specific cleanse you are ... continue reading...

For The Most Boring Summer Moms Ever… (like me)

This was originally going to be a post about what to do on rainy days this summer.  But seriously, I find myself lollygagging around on sunny days, too.  I am the laziest thing ever in the summer.  For the last few years, I've hid behind lots of summer camps to keep my kids busy but now finances are TI-YEET (tight) and camps are MINIMAL.  Prior to now, I'd say the majority of money spent on my kids was camps--well above homeschooling them the rest of the year.  Summer also became our busiest ... continue reading...

Ugh… puh-LEAZZZZE… Please, please, PLEASE GO. AWAY. AND. HANDLE. IT. Of course, they can't handle it.  If they could handle it, they wouldn't be bringing it to me.  I mean, they might because sometimes my kids just use stuff like this as a ... continue reading...

I mean, it happened and a lot of the time, I can give benefit of the doubt that what happened wasn't intended to be hurtful; but saying you're sorry doesn't make it okay.  It doesn't erase the pain and it doesn't put back that chip of trust you just whittled out of someone.  Just because you didn't mean it doesn't make ... continue reading...
