Who am I, anyway? I’m a woman, a mom and a wife. Not always in that order. A lot of people “accuse” me of being a SuperMom–which is frustrating because really, I’m just a mom. But I’ve had an interesting life and learned lots; and never stop learning. There’s no reason you can’t do what I do, too… you just need someone to shorten the learning curve. That’s why I’m here. Let me tell you how I amassed the knowledge, skills and tools I have to help you…
I believe everyone is equipped with the tools they need to be healthy, but we have been smothered with messages that don’t connect to the core of who we are. I can bring you back to your core. Are you not sure where or what that is? I know. That’s the problem of the day. But it just takes some gentle guidance, a little education and a hand to hold to get there. That’s what I do. And I love doing it.
My journey to this career began with my own health crisis with regulating insulin and seeing how that disorder not only affected my physical health, but my mental health. I suffered for 17 years with the last 3 being so debilitating that I went to specialist after specialist looking for answers and having test after test done only to result in being told “We’ve looked everywhere. It’s all in your head.” My condition was subsequently found completely by accident in the most unsuspecting setting.
I then went on to have my son who had profound developmental problems that were exacerbated by specific foods and proteins; in addition to mild seizures, an immune system deficiency, a pre-asthmatic condition, “colic”, constipation that almost landed him in inpatient treatment and recurring severe croupe. He and our subsequent foster children and adoptive child have given me a great deal of experience with trying to find the root cause of problems that most practitioners are happy to medicate you for.
I’ve come to see first-hand how the exact same problem in two or more bodies can be caused by very different sources. We are individuals. The key is knowing the possibilities.
Much love, mama. Namaste.
